While working at WETC I produced two thirty minute documentary style programs each month. These programs were then aired on the local educational station which was seen by roughly 50,000 members of the community in Weymouth, MA. These programs were generally informative pieces which were intended to educate the community about the region, a local department, procedure, or any of a number of other worthwhile causes. Being such a small company required that my contributions exceed those of simply acting as a producer & (Avid) editor. This enabled me to also be involved in many other roles at WETC. I was regularly involved in the scheduling, programming, & the promotion of our programs. Adopting these extra responsibilities required that I also be proficient in time management, graphic design, news writing, & numerous other skills. While these were not my primary responsibility, I’m very pleased to have had the opportunity to gain this experience.
